Oral Surgery Dental Assistant

Shift Details:
8 hours shift, 40 hours work week
Oral Surgery Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist oral surgeons with surgical procedures including extractions, dental implants, none grafts, and IV sedation cases. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, operatory, and sterilization areas in compliance with infection control protocols. Monitor and reassure patients before, during and after procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Take and process dental radiographs, including panoramic and CBCT imaging (if certified). Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers. Manage surgical inventory, prepare surgical trays, and order supplies as needed. Supports sedation and anesthesia setup (IV or nitrous) and recovery process under supervision. Collaboration with front desk and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient experience. Minimum Qualifications Minimum one year of dental assisting experience. Oral surgery experience. Experienced in IV sedations & Nitrous Oxide highly recommended. High school diploma or equivalent. X-Ray certification
  • 1-2 years experience.
Dental Assistant Certification. Additional certifications may be required Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position. Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required. Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .
BLS, N95
