Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! In this role, you will be the cornerstone of patient oral health, providing expert cleanings, assessments, and education to ensure our patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures for dental equipment. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures. Proficiency with Dentrix preferred for documentation review and EHR management. If not familiar with Dentrix, we are happy to guide you through the software. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques, medical coding, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including infection prevention management and aseptic technique. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, providing excellent client communication and patient education. Familiarity with dental equipment operation, X-ray safety standards, and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
