Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care through thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and assisting with various dental procedures. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent disease and promote oral health. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR). Assist dentists during procedures such as examinations, restorations, and other dental treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in accordance with infection prevention protocols. Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene techniques, dietary advice, and post-treatment instructions. Maintain strict infection control standards by adhering to HIPAA regulations, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures for dental equipment. Manage medical records accurately, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental cleanings and radiography. Proficiency in dental software systems such as Sensei or CS imaging Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures. Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred; familiarity with pediatric patient care is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members. Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient confidentiality. Join us in delivering outstanding dental care!
