JOIN THE HIGHEST RATED DENTAL OFFICE IN PALMDALE. LOOKING FOR 1-2 DAYS A WEEK

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral care instructions
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral cancer screenings
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile field using aseptic techniques
• Utilize dental software (Eaglesoft, CAD) to accurately document patient information and treatment plans
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• Valid state dental hygiene license
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Proficient in using dental software (Eaglesoft, CAD) for patient management and treatment planning
• Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and systemic diseases affecting oral health
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
• Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD) for accurate billing and insurance claims submission is a plus
• Experience with electronic health record systems (Epic) is preferred We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
