JOIN THE HIGHEST RATED DENTAL OFFICE IN PALMDALE. LOOKING FOR 1-2 DAYS A WEEK
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral cancer screenings
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile field using aseptic techniques
- Utilize dental software (Eaglesoft, CAD) to accurately document patient information and treatment plans
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Proficient in using dental software (Eaglesoft, CAD) for patient management and treatment planning
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and systemic diseases affecting oral health
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD) for accurate billing and insurance claims submission is a plus
- Experience with electronic health record systems (Epic) is preferred We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
