Responsibilities:

• Conduct dental hygiene assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of teeth
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral care instructions
• Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
• Assist the dentist during procedures as necessary

Skills:

• Proficiency in using dental practice management software (Dentrix)
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Dentrix)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
