Job Overview We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. We are a small, well established general dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care and oral health education, with comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and patient assessment. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional preventive dental services, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and supporting the overall clinical operations to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for all patients. This is a full time opportunity with at least 30 minute lunch break. The office is open Tuesday through Thursday 8:30 am till 5:30 pm. The hygienist start an end times can be modified if necessary for the right candidate. Compensation is dependent on experience. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by evaluating vital signs, medical history, and dental conditions. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring accuracy and patient safety. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to enhance their understanding of dental health. Follow infection prevention management protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare infection control standards. Stay current with medical terminology, dental terminology, and emerging best practices in healthcare infection prevention. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures. Any level of experience accepted. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care. Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control protocols. Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on dental care topics. Ability to work efficiently within a team environment while maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA compliance management.

Pay:

$60.00 - $70.00 per hour
