Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a dental clinic environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients. Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately. Provide education on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Take and record vital signs as necessary during patient visits. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Assist in the management of dental office operations, including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records using software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Skills Proficient in dental terminology and procedures relevant to patient care. Experience working in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy. Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with dental assisting practices is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare team. Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care to patients and foster a positive experience.
