Job Description

Honey Grove Family Dentistry seeks a compassionate Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care to patients of all ages in our family-focused practice. Responsibilities include performing cleanings, periodontal therapy, and oral cancer screenings; taking digital radiographs; updating medical histories; and educating patients on oral hygiene and preventive care. You'll uphold strict infection control standards, collaborate closely with the dentist on treatment planning, and help create a welcoming, supportive environment for families and children in our Honey Grove, TX community. Responsibilities Perform routine cleanings, periodontal therapy, and oral cancer screenings Capture and interpret dental radiographs following safety protocols Update medical histories and maintain accurate electronic records Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care Assist the dentist in identifying treatment needs and coordinating care Follow strict infection control and sterilization procedures Provide fluoride treatments and sealants, especially for children Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages Support a positive, team-oriented, patient-centered office culture Required Skills Dental prophylaxis (cleanings) Periodontal charting and maintenance Dental radiographs (digital X-rays) Patient oral health education Use of dental instruments and sterilization Fluoride and sealant application Electronic dental records (EHR) Infection control and OSHA compliance Local anesthesia and nitrous monitoring (if licensed) Communication with dentists on treatment needs
