Job Overview Weekend Warriors Welcome!! Join our dynamic dental team as a Terre Haute EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary) and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! As an energetic and detail-oriented EFDA, you will assist the dentist during various procedures, perform expanded functions to enhance treatment efficiency, and ensure a smooth, positive experience for every patient. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment where your contributions truly make a difference. Your expertise will help us provide top-quality dental services while fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages patient trust and satisfaction. Our office is open Thursdays-Sundays 8a-630pm depending on patient need sometimes as late as 8pm. Duties Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorations, same day crowns, and other advanced treatments Perform expanded functions such as placing fillings, polishing restorations, and taking impressions under supervision Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of infection control Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral health practices to promote long-term wellness Manage patient records accurately, including documenting procedures and updating treatment plans Ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly and report any maintenance needs promptly Support the team with administrative tasks as needed to keep the clinic running efficiently Requirements Valid state licensure as an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) or equivalent certification Proven experience assisting with restorative and preventive dental procedures Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and comfort patients effectively Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and clinic needs Join us in creating healthier smiles and brighter futures! $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
