In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. We are looking for a motivated professional eager to make a difference in our patients' lives through compassionate care and clinical excellence. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to infection prevention protocols Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix), documenting treatment details, medical records, and medical coding Follow infection control standards, including aseptic techniques and HIPAA compliance, to protect patient confidentiality and prevent cross-contamination Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or healthcare setting Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging procedures Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and providing dental care patient education tailored for children and adolescents Strong understanding of infection prevention management, healthcare infection control expertise, and aseptic technique protocols Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures in general dentistry settings Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health maintenance Join us in creating healthier smiles!
