Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment planning Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to infection prevention protocols Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice to promote long-term dental health Assist with chairside procedures in four-handed dentistry to enhance workflow efficiency and patient comfort Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR/EHR systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Support infection control measures by following aseptic techniques and managing sterilization of dental instruments and equipment Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and scheduling Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable, along with a strong understanding of pediatric-specific care techniques Knowledge of general dentistry procedures, dental terminology, and dental equipment operation Demonstrated ability in patient communication, client education, and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding practices for comprehensive patient care documentation Healthcare infection prevention expertise with experience in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Join us in making a difference through exceptional patient care!
