We use Eaglesoft software, digital radiographs, photography, CBCT, and 3D intraoral scanners. Duties include:

• Prepare a treatment room for the patient
• Prepare the patient for dental hygiene treatment
• Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests
• Maintain instrumentation for dental hygiene treatments
• Select materials and equipment for a dental hygiene visit by evaluating the patient's oral health
• Complete dental prophylaxis
• Assist in detecting disease by completing oral exams through visual inspection, radiograph interpretation and using a probe to locate periodontal infections
• Take digital radiographs
• Assist in screening for oral cancer
• Educate patients by providing oral hygiene and plaque control instructions
• Document dental hygiene services and maintain patient health records
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
• Ensure proper operation of dental equipment Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program with a current license to practice in NY
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
