Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and conducting oral examinations. Administer preventive dental care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants. Utilize medical imaging systems to capture and analyze dental radiographs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatment plans and progress notes using dental terminology. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a positive experience for young patients. Monitor vital signs and provide necessary support during dental procedures. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment in the clinic. Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to develop individualized patient care plans. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred. Experience with medical imaging systems is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control.
