WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN RDH TO HELP OUR LONG STANDING, GROWING, LOCALLY OWNED, AND FAMILY OPERATED PRIVATE GENERAL DENTAL PRACTICE. WE WILL CONSIDER RECENT GRADUATES. WE ARE A FRIENDLY GROUP WHO ALL WORK TOGETHER TO HELP EACH OTHER. IT IS A PART TIME POSITION FOR THURSDAYS AND COULD DEVELOP TO A FULL TIME ROLE IF WANTED. PAY WILL DEPEND ON EXPERIENCE.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking X-rays, and applying fluoride treatments, dental sealants
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' oral health, including screening for periodontal disease and oral cancer
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as needed
  • Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
  • Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans and provide comprehensive dental care
Skills:
  • Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry
  • Experience using Open Dental or similar dental practice management software
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Strong understanding of infection control procedures in a dental office setting
  • Familiarity with pediatric dentistry and ability to work with children of all ages
  • Experience with computer-assisted design (CAD) software for creating dental restorations is a plus
  • Solid anatomical knowledge to accurately assess patients' oral health conditions
  • Excellent patient assessment skills, including identifying potential issues or abnormalities
