Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health. Assist with chairside procedures, including preparing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and supporting dentists during treatments. Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain infection prevention standards by sterilizing equipment, managing infection control protocols, and ensuring a safe clinical environment. Assist in other areas of the nonprofit 501 c 3 organization Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures Skilled dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards. Excellent patient communication skills to educate patients effectively about dental care and foster trust. Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise, including aseptic technique and adherence to HIPAA compliance management. Pay:

$28.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
