Job Description

Overview Smile Gallery is currently searching for a part-time Registered Dental Hygienist. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for every step of their dental journey. We are committed to fostering a positive, team-oriented atmosphere that values your skills and dedication. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice to improve long-term oral health. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Review and update medical records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing chairside assistance and managing patient anxiety with professionalism and compassion. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for documentation review and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical coding to ensure precise communication and billing accuracy. Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment with attention to detail.
