Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive services. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills in dental hygiene, patient assessment, and infection control are highly valued and essential for success. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain and improve patients' oral health. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop personalized care plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental x-ray equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed. Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, including preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment through infection prevention management. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix) accurately, documenting treatment details and reviewing medical records for comprehensive patient care. Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring secure handling of medical records and personal information. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry practices. Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and working with pediatric patients to ensure comfort and cooperation. Expertise in infection prevention techniques including aseptic technique, healthcare infection control standards, and sterilization procedures. Skilled in taking accurate vital signs and performing medical imaging to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, providing clear explanations about dental procedures and care instructions. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management, medical coding, documentation review, and electronic health records (EHR) management. Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
