Job Description

Digital Lab Technician Center for Family and Implant Dentistry Position Summary Center for Family and Implant Dentistry is seeking a detail-oriented and technology-driven Digital Lab Technician to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through the design, fabrication, and management of digital dental restorations and appliances. The ideal candidate is proficient in digital workflows, CAD/CAM technology, 3D printing, and dental laboratory processes, with a passion for accuracy, efficiency, and innovation. Key Responsibilities Design dental restorations using CAD software, including crowns, bridges, implant restorations, surgical guides, and removable prosthetics. Operate and maintain intraoral scan workflows and digital case management systems. Manage and operate 3D printers, milling units, scanners, and related digital laboratory equipment. Prepare, produce, and finish restorations according to doctor specifications and quality standards. Collaborate closely with dentists and clinical team members to ensure accurate treatment outcomes. Review digital impressions and case files for completeness and quality. Troubleshoot digital workflow issues and communicate solutions effectively. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, materials, and equipment. Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and laboratory safety standards. Document and track laboratory cases from design through final delivery. Stay current on emerging dental technologies and digital dentistry advancements. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in dental laboratory operations or digital dentistry. Strong computer proficiency and comfort learning new technologies. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Preferred Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Exocad, 3Shape, or similar platforms. Experience with 3D printing and digital design workflows. Dental laboratory technician certification or related education. Knowledge of restorative dentistry, implants, and prosthetic fabrication. Experience working in a dental office or dental laboratory setting. Skills & Competencies Digital design and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to quality and precision. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity required for detailed laboratory work. Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies up to 25 pounds.
