Doctor of Dentistry Patient care Infection control regulations Full Job Description General Dentist - Private Practice Overview We are looking for a General Dentist to join our dental practice. This is a clinical position focused on providing quality general dentistry and building strong, long-term relationships with patients. We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, communicates well with patients, and takes pride in providing thorough, quality care. Previous experience in private practice is preferred, and candidates with several years of general dentistry experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive general dental care to patients. Diagnose dental conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans. Perform restorative procedures, crowns, bridges, extractions, and other general dentistry procedures within your clinical scope. Review X-rays and other diagnostic records and use them to develop appropriate treatment plans. Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and recommended care to patients. Provide patients with appropriate post-treatment instructions and follow-up care. Work closely with dental assistants and other team members to provide efficient chairside care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes and patient records. Follow OSHA, infection control, HIPAA, and California dental regulations. Provide a positive and professional experience for patients while maintaining an efficient schedule. Experience & Qualifications Active California dental license in good standing. Previous experience practicing as a General Dentist is preferred . Dentists with several years of clinical experience in a private-practice setting are strongly preferred. Experience with restorative dentistry and comprehensive treatment planning. Comfortable diagnosing conditions, presenting treatment, and discussing treatment options with patients. Experience with digital X-rays and dental practice management software; Open Dental experience is a plus. Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the dental team. Reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a busy practice. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
