The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of general dentistry practices, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. As an integral member of our practice, the Associate General Dentist will perform a wide range of dental procedures, collaborate with team members, and uphold compliance with healthcare regulations to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive dental care including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients across diverse age groups. Perform dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, orthodontics, oral surgery, and professionalism. Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate effectively with patients and team members regarding diagnoses and treatment options. Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review and clinical examinations, to develop individualized treatment plans aligned with healthcare diagnosis standards. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination. Maintain detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws. Collaborate with specialists in pediatrics, anesthesiology, endodontics, orthodontics, and prosthodontics as needed for comprehensive patient care. Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and medical documentation management. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures by engaging in continuous professional development. Requirements Valid state license to practice dentistry with eligibility for licensure renewal. Proven experience in general dentistry within a clinical or dental office setting; prior dental clinic experience is highly desirable. Proficiency in using dental practice management Dentrix software. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and infection control practices. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry techniques and treatments is preferred. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, implant placements, oral surgeries, and other advanced procedures confidently. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing medical records and patient privacy. Excellent client communication skills coupled with a compassionate patient care approach. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
