We are seeking a high-caliber, patient-focused Periodontist to join our growing private practice on a part-time basis: 1 day per month initially . This role is ideal for a specialist who values patient relationships, education, and long-term outcomes. You will play a key role in helping Serenity Grove Dental expand its specialty services and elevate the overall patient experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform comprehensive periodontal evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning Provide high-quality periodontal and implant services, including: Non-surgical periodontal therapy and maintenance planning Surgical periodontal procedures Dental implant placement and related surgical procedures Bone grafting, sinus lifts, and soft tissue grafting (as clinically appropriate) Collaborate with the hygiene team on periodontal therapy protocols and patient education Clearly present diagnoses and treatment options, helping patients make informed decisions Maintain detailed, timely clinical documentation in the practice management software Review and update medical histories and assess systemic health considerations Order, review, and interpret digital radiographs, CBCT scans, and intraoral images Adhere to Florida Board of Dentistry regulations, OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards Contribute to a positive, professional, and respectful team environment Participate in protocol development and quality improvement as the practice grows Provide nitrous oxide and/or sedation services in compliance with Florida permits (if applicable) Required Qualifications DDS or DMD from an accredited U.S. dental school Completion of an accredited Periodontics residency program Active, unrestricted Florida dental license in good standing Board eligibility or board certification in Periodontology Eligibility to work in the United States Current CPR/BLS certification DEA registration (or eligibility) in Florida Strong clinical skills with a patient-first, ethical approach Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with digital practice management systems (OpenDental a plus) Digital radiography, intraoral scanners, and CBCT imaging Implant restorative collaboration and interdisciplinary treatment planning Experience in private practice or boutique clinical settings Work Schedule Part-time (1 day per month) Specific days to be determined based on patient demand and availability Opportunity to expand specialty days as the practice continues to grow Benefits Package Competitive, experience-based compensation (discussed during interview) Dental benefits Paid orientation and onboarding Supportive, no-drama team culture Free parking and convenient Wellington location Opportunities for continuing education and professional development Potential for increased days, leadership involvement, and specialty growth Opportunities to participate in community outreach and volunteer events Physical Demands This position requires standing, walking, and use of hands for clinical procedures.
