Responsibilities include diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, soft- and hard-tissue surgeries, implant placement, regenerative procedures, and maintenance therapy. Responsibilities Diagnose and treat periodontal disease using surgical and non-surgical modalities Plan and place dental implants and perform related grafting and regenerative procedures Perform soft- and hard-tissue periodontal surgeries (e.g., flap surgery, crown lengthening) Develop comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans in coordination with general dentists and specialists Provide ongoing periodontal maintenance and supportive care Educate patients on oral-systemic health, treatment options, and post-operative care Document findings, treatment plans, and procedures in electronic health records Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize patient flow and quality of care Maintain strict infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance Participate in continuing education, mentorship, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Periodontal diagnosis and treatment planning Periodontal surgery (flap surgery, osseous surgery) Dental implant placement and restoration coordination Bone and soft tissue grafting Regenerative periodontal procedures (e.g., guided tissue regeneration) Local anesthesia and conscious sedation management (if credentialed) Use of digital imaging and CBCTUse of dental lasers (if available) Post-operative pain and complication management Electronic health record documentation Patient education and communication Interdisciplinary case collaboration
