This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive dental care in a patient-focused environment. As a Temporary General Dentist, you will deliver high-quality dental services, ensuring patient comfort and safety while adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards. Your expertise will help maintain our reputation for excellence in oral health care and patient satisfaction. This position is paid and ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact during their temporary assignment. Duties Perform general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning using Eaglesoft and Pearl Second Opinion AI software systems. Conduct general restorative, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and endodontics with precision and care. Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Assess patient health history and medical documentation to develop appropriate treatment plans aligned with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws. Apply infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment during all clinical procedures. Interpret medical imaging and dental terminology to accurately diagnose dental issues and recommend suitable treatments. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care to foster trust and understanding. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of all treatments performed in compliance with healthcare diagnosis standards. Collaborate with team members on complex cases involving pediatrics, orthodontics, endodontics, or oral surgery to deliver comprehensive care. Ensure adherence to all infection control policies and OSHA standards to promote a safe clinical environment. Qualifications Valid New York State dental license with credentials suitable for practicing general dentistry.. Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis, medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques. Demonstrated ability in performing diverse dental procedures such as extractions, root canals, implants, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing patient privacy and medical documentation. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately. Ability to work efficiently using four-handed dentistry methods while maintaining high standards of patient care. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection prevention protocols essential for safe practice environments. Compensation includes $50 per hour plus 30% production above base salary. Position is planned as temporary coverge for an associate's maternity leave from October 2026 - January 2026.
