Key Responsibilities :
Examine and Diagnose :
Perform dental examinations, diagnose oral conditions, and create treatment plans for patients.
Preventive Care :
Provide routine dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive measures.
Restorative Procedures :
Perform procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and other restorations to treat decayed or damaged teeth.
Oral Surgery :
Extract teeth and perform minor surgical procedures, including simple and surgical extractions.
Cosmetic Procedures :
Provide aesthetic treatments such as teeth whitening, veneers, and bonding to improve patients' smiles.
Patient Education :
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to maintain oral health.
Prosthodontics :
Provide dentures, partials, and other prosthetic appliances for tooth replacement.
Collaborative Care :
Work with our orthodontists, periodontists, endodontists and oral surgeons when referrals are necessary.
Skills :
Strong diagnostic skills and ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans. Proficient in the latest dental technologies and techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage patient anxiety and create a comfortable environment. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Work Environment :
Collaboration with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff. Interaction with a diverse patient base, requiring empathy and clear communication.
Schedule :
Full-time, evening and weekend hours.
Compliance :
Adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental board regulations regarding patient safety, data privacy, and professional standards.
Requirements Qualifications:
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
State Licensure:
Must be licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Pennsylvania. CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Continuing education in accordance with state regulations.
