• Perform tasks of a universal employee.
• Maintain quality control measures to ensure the temperature, attractiveness, and palatability of food.
• Ensure food is prepared, cooked and portion size is per facility policies and procedures/state regulations.
• Assist as needed when ordering departmental supplies and notify the dietary manager when supplies are needed.
• Ensure cleaning, sanitation, and safety requirements are maintained.
• Perform any or all the duties in the kitchen, tray line, dining room, and dish room as needed to meet daily operations need.
• Maintain knowledge of therapeutic diets
• Report any equipment malfunctions immediately to the dietary manager.
• Communicate any findings to other appropriate staff members.
• Complete quality management inspections to ensure cleanliness ad condition of work areas.
• Ensure infection control practices are always maintained.
• Check temperature logs for food, refrigerators, and freezers as assigned.
• Assist with departmental record keeping.
• Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and state regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
