Job Description
- Perform tasks of a universal employee.
- Maintain quality control measures to ensure the temperature, attractiveness, and palatability of food.
- Ensure food is prepared, cooked and portion size is per facility policies and procedures/state regulations.
- Assist as needed when ordering departmental supplies and notify the dietary manager when supplies are needed.
- Ensure cleaning, sanitation, and safety requirements are maintained.
- Perform any or all the duties in the kitchen, tray line, dining room, and dish room as needed to meet daily operations need.
- Maintain knowledge of therapeutic diets
- Report any equipment malfunctions immediately to the dietary manager.
- Communicate any findings to other appropriate staff members.
- Complete quality management inspections to ensure cleanliness ad condition of work areas.
- Ensure infection control practices are always maintained.
- Check temperature logs for food, refrigerators, and freezers as assigned.
- Assist with departmental record keeping.
- Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
- Comply with company policies and procedures and state regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
