Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Part-Time Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will play a vital role in delivering exceptional nutritional care to our residents. In this energetic position, you will assist in meal service, food preparation, sanitation, and ensuring that dietary standards and safety protocols are consistently upheld. Your contribution will help create a warm, welcoming environment that promotes health, comfort, and well-being for our residents. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to develop valuable skills in food service and geriatric nutrition. Duties Assist with meal preparation and food production in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident needs Serve meals with a focus on presentation, accuracy, and timely delivery to residents Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dining areas, and food handling surfaces following food safety standards Support the dietary team by bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed Adhere to all workplace safety protocols, including safe lifting practices and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and monitoring food storage conditions Work collaboratively with nursing staff to accommodate special dietary requirements for residents with specific health needs Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred Knowledge of food handling, preparation, sanitation, and safety standards such as JCAHO guidelines Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy meal service times Experience working with geriatric patients or in a healthcare setting is a plus Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portion control Excellent customer service skills to create a positive dining experience for residents Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks as required Certification in CPR and proper use of PPE is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided on site Familiarity with nutrition principles and dietary requirements for seniors is advantageous Join us in making a meaningful difference through nourishing our residents' bodies and spirits! Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
