Set up tables and trays; serve and remove trays from dining room; clean dietary work area; stock and store food, dishes, and supplies. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
FUNCTIONS
Assist cook by preparing and portioning food items as instructed. Set up trays and deliver meals to residents. Clean and maintain kitchen and food preparation equipment. Stock and store food items. Retrieve dishes and utensils following meals. Wash, sanitize and store dishes and utensils. Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
WORKING BEHAVIORS
Adhere to and carry out all policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Reporting on-the-job injuries to the supervisor immediately (within 10 minutes) of the accident occurring on the shift. Reporting instances of harassment following the procedures outlined in your employee handbook. Following the drug and alcohol policy set forth in your employee handbook. Arriving for work dressed according to the dress code. Good personal hygiene is also expected. Arriving to work on time and as scheduled as set forth in your employee handbook. Report any resident abuse to the Administrator or Supervisor in accordance with company policy. Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents, families and visitors. Maintain confidentially of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel. Promote the facility in a positive way. Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
