The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and a strong understanding of dietary needs, particularly within an assisted living and nursing home environment. This role is essential in ensuring that all meals are prepared with care, adhering to safety and sanitation standards while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Assist in the planning of menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with the Dietary department to ensure all food handling procedures are followed. Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies and tracking food usage. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents during meal service. Sanitate kitchen equipment and utensils regularly to maintain a safe cooking environment. Support dietary aides as needed, ensuring efficient workflow within the kitchen. Experience Previous experience in food production is preferred, particularly in an assisted living or healthcare setting. Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices is essential. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with residents and staff. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
