Weekend Requirement:
One Sunday every other weekend Requirements Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition from an accredited institution. Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Registry-eligible candidates may be considered if testing is scheduled within 3 months of employment. Strong knowledge of dietetics and nutrition. Knowledge and experience with conditions including diabetes, renal, cardiac, critical care, obstetrics, medical/surgical, and long-term care. Clinical, outpatient, and classroom instruction experience is highly preferred. Community nutrition experience is highly preferred. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients identified as being at nutritional risk. Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition interventions. Evaluate the need for specialized nutrition support and provide appropriate recommendations. Document nutrition assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record. Monitor and reassess patients and modify nutrition care plans as needed. Develop and manage nutrition and hydration plans for long-term care residents. Monitor significant weight changes, new admissions, wounds, and other nutritional concerns. Participate in care conferences, meal rounds, standards-of-care activities, and menu evaluations. Support LTC survey readiness and regulatory compliance. Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department projects. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietary staff, and other healthcare professionals. Provide nutrition services across both inpatient and long-term care settings.
