Role:

The Orchards at Harper Woods, a premier healthcare organization located in Harper Woods, Michigan, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team. As a Director of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate resident care with a "hands on" management style Develop, review, and revise nursing and clinical policies Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment Lead in the recruitment of qualified staff and conduct interviews Monitor the use of supplies and equipment to ensure cost controls Promote an atmosphere of respect, professional growth, and encouragement for all nursing staff members

Qualifications and Skills:

3 years of supervisory experience (required) 5 years of experience in Long Term Care (required) Registered Nurse License (required) CPR/First Aid certification (required) Strong organizational and leadership skills
