Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Director of Nursing Services to lead our nursing team within a long-term care environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nursing administration, including managing care teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. As the Director of Nursing Services, you will oversee all clinical operations, promote a culture of excellence, and ensure that residents' rights and individualized care plans are prioritized. This leadership role offers an opportunity to influence quality improvement initiatives and foster a compassionate, compliant, and efficient healthcare environment. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for nursing services across the facility, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct care providers, fostering professional development and team cohesion. Oversee the development, implementation, and review of care plans tailored to residents' needs, including memory care and hospice services. Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, HIPAA privacy standards, and other applicable laws governing healthcare delivery. Manage documentation review processes related to medical records, MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, and clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems effectively for patient documentation, reporting, and quality assurance. Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance. Oversee shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels that meet resident acuity needs while optimizing operational efficiency. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and long-term care regulations to guide clinical decision-making. Qualifications Proven experience in nursing home management or assisted living environments with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Extensive background in nursing administration with supervising experience in long-term care or home health agencies. Familiarity with Medicare regulations, Medicaid requirements, and federal/state long-term care statutes. Strong knowledge of resident's rights policies, memory care protocols, hospice care practices, and acute care procedures. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems along with a solid understanding of medical records management and documentation review processes. Excellent management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively across shifts. Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, quality assurance programs, and clinical supervision within healthcare settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy relevant to geriatric populations and complex resident needs. Pay:
$150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
