Health Insurance + 401(k) + Excellent Benefits A beautiful, well-established skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in West Babylon, Long Island is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join its leadership team and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) who is ready to take the next step in their career with a growing healthcare organization. Position Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall coordination, management, and oversight of the Nursing Department. Provide day-to-day managerial and clinical support to nursing staff and residents. Ensure nursing services are delivered in accordance with current Federal and New York State regulations , facility policies, and standards of care. Support nursing operations across long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services. Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to nursing staff. Promote high-quality resident care and a positive resident and family experience. Monitor compliance with nursing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assist with staff development, education, performance management, and quality improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, residents, families, and facility leadership. Make independent decisions and respond appropriately to clinical and operational situations. Serve as a positive role model and promote teamwork, professionalism, and accountability throughout the Nursing Department. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State . Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting required . Two or more years of nursing management experience preferred.

BLS/ACLS

certification required. Strong knowledge of current nursing practices, techniques, and procedures. Knowledge of the New York State Nurse Practice Act and New York State Department of Health requirements for skilled nursing facilities. Comprehensive knowledge of nursing service policies and procedures. Strong computer skills and experience working with an electronic medical record (EMR) . Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and work effectively with nursing staff at all levels. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to make sound, independent decisions when necessary. Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with residents, families, staff, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
