Director of Therapy

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Therapy to lead the rehabilitation department at our skilled nursing facility. In this role, you will oversee all physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care, maintaining strict regulatory compliance, and driving efficient department operations.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management:
Supervise, train, and mentor the multidisciplinary therapy team, including hiring, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations.
Clinical Excellence:
Ensure the provision of high-quality rehabilitative services by reviewing assessments, interventions, and ongoing patient outcomes.
Compliance & Regulation:
Uphold all federal, state, and facility guidelines, specifically regarding Medicare/Medicaid regulations, PDPM, and third-party billing.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Work closely with the facility's nursing staff, medical team, and administration to create patient-specific care plans and foster a supportive environment.
Financial Oversight:
Manage the departmental budget, track productivity metrics, and identify opportunities for service line enhancement.
Qualifications & Credentials Education:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology program.
Licensure:
Active, unencumbered license to practice in Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive management or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation setting within skilled nursing care.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Medicare Part A, Medicare Part
B, PDPM, MDS
management, and SNF reimbursement.
