2989941525-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Essentia Health is seeking a Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist to support patients recovering from cardiac events and procedures. In this role, you will assess cardiovascular fitness, design and lead individualized exercise programs, and monitor vital signs and symptoms during supervised sessions. You will provide risk factor modification, education on heart-healthy lifestyles, and support patients in behavior change. Collaborating closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other team members, you'll help optimize functional capacity, ensure safe progression of activity, and document patient outcomes. This position supports Essentia's mission of compassionate, patient-centered, and innovative care. Responsibilities Assess cardiopulmonary fitness and risk factors for cardiac rehab patients. Design and implement individualized, evidence-based exercise prescriptions. Monitor ECG, vital signs, and symptoms during supervised sessions. Adjust exercise intensity and progression to ensure patient safety. Provide education on heart-healthy lifestyle, medications, and risk reduction. Document assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in the EHR. Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and therapists on care plans. Respond appropriately to clinical changes and emergent situations. Support patient motivation, adherence, and behavior change. Participate in quality improvement and program development initiatives.
