Job Description
Overview We are looking for someone who can blend psychology and ABA and put it into practice. We are servicing at risk youth who don't just need a Behavior Technician but also a Mentor to help guide and enrich their life through discipline, follow through, and compassion. The person we seek must be able to work with the children as a teacher and also as a coach through physical and outdoor activities. If you're looking to apply ABA in everyday life where meaningful and effective change takes place over time and across developmental domains, then this is the position for you! This position is in Fairfield, CA. Must have your own transportation. Zero tolerance for toxic behaviors. Those who do not have an RBT will start at the training rate of 25 an hour until certified. Duties Implement individualized ABA therapy programs tailored to each client's needs, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies. Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment plans and ensure effective intervention. Conduct behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral challenges and develop appropriate intervention strategies. Support clients during intake processes, behavior intervention sessions, and ongoing therapy to promote engagement and progress. Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard client confidentiality. Communicate regularly with clients' families and caregivers to provide updates, training, and support on behavior management techniques. Assist in developing and implementing skill acquisition programs in ABA that promote communication, social skills, adaptive behaviors, and independence. Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles, behavior intervention techniques, and data collection methods. Ability to perform patient assessments and support behavioral health initiatives effectively. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings is highly desirable.
