Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to provide therapeutic support and interventions. Your expertise in behavioral therapy will be essential in helping clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based strategies to promote positive behavioral changes. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate behavioral health needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles. Provide direct therapeutic interventions to clients in various settings, focusing on skill development and behavior modification. Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including intake forms, progress notes, and treatment summaries, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Participate in diagnostic evaluations and contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings. Stay informed about best practices in special education and behavioral health to enhance service delivery. Skills Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and methodologies. Experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Strong skills in data collection and analysis related to patient progress. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards. Knowledge of special education practices and the ability to adapt interventions accordingly. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members. Understanding of patient care principles and the ability to conduct thorough patient assessments.
