Key Responsibilities Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health, focusing particularly on the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms. Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients based on their unique needs, goals, and preferences. Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective interventions for mood disorders. Providing education and support for clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment paths, and self-care practices to promote recovery. Monitoring clients' progress regularly and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure the achievement of therapeutic goals. Fostering interdisciplinary collaboration by working closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to offer integrated care. Engaging in continuous professional development, including attending relevant training sessions and team consultations to remain up-to-date with the latest treatment approaches. Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation of client interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Advocating for the de-stigmatization of mood disorders while promoting mental health awareness within the community. Patient Population / Client Focus The therapist will primarily engage with individuals facing challenges with mood disorders, nurturing a safe space for exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Clients will include a diverse array of backgrounds, with varying socio-economic statuses and cultural perspectives. By employing empathetic listening and strong rapport-building skills, you will create an atmosphere where clients feel comfortable addressing sensitive topics. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia. A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders is preferred. Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, especially CBT and DBT, will be highly regarded. A strong grasp of psychopharmacology and experience collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers. Demonstrated success in achieving favorable outcomes for clients dealing with mood disorders. Exceptional communication skills with an ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds effectively. Preferred Experience Extensive knowledge of various therapeutic techniques specifically effective for mood disorders. Experience with telehealth service delivery, including familiarity with video conferencing platforms and electronic medical records. Leadership capacity to mentor less experienced clinicians or participate in training initiatives.
