Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic mental health team as a dedicated Mental Health Therapist, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across diverse populations. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions that foster resilience and promote mental well-being. Whether working in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, or via telehealth platforms, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives through innovative and empathetic approaches. Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to support behavior change and enhance client engagement in treatment. Deliver specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, chronic pain counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans to coordinate patient care effectively across inpatient, outpatient, or telehealth settings. Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to improve treatment outcomes and advance behavioral health practices. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), psychologist, or equivalent credential in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics or individuals with disabilities within clinical or hospital environments. Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques including applied behavior analysis (ABA), psychopharmacology considerations, CPT coding for billing purposes, ICD coding systems for diagnoses, and medical terminology related to mental health care. Experience delivering telehealth services using secure platforms while maintaining patient confidentiality. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively with skills in crisis management and crisis intervention strategies. Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient education, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and proficiency in managing medical records accurately.
