EDUCATION
Master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, counseling, marital and family therapy, or other licensable human service fields from an accredited university.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Current requisite professional licensure endorsed by the State of Michigan, specifically
LLMSW, LMSW, LLP, TLLP, LLPC, LPC, LLMFT, LMFT EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one year of clinical experience providing assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and families. including experience conducting clinical behavioral health assessments and providing intervention and treatment to children and adolescents with Serious Emotional Disturbance and/or Intellectual and Developmental disability.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Home & Community-Based Children's Mental Health Therapist works with the Children's Home and Community Based Services Department. The Home & Community-Based Children's Mental Health Therapist provides in-home therapy, assessment, and case management services, as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, to children and families served by Shiawassee Health and Wellness' Children's Home-Based Program. The Home & Community-Based Children's Mental Health Therapist also coordinates community-based services with providers of other community agencies to prevent hospitalization and out-of-home placement, and to promote improved individual, family, and community functioning. As part of this role, there are some on-call work requirements on a rotating basis. The Home & Community-Based Children's Mental Health Therapist shall be responsible to the Supervisor of Services for Children and Families, or to other supervisory staff as designated by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
