Hyalite Counseling

Mental Health Therapist

Job Description

Job Summary We are a small, growing counseling practice seeking a compassionate, client-centered Mental Health Therapist to join our team. We believe that meaningful therapy starts with a strong therapeutic relationship, and we value therapists who bring warmth, authenticity, curiosity, and genuine connection to their work. You will primarily work with teens and young adults, supporting clients as they navigate anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationships, identity, and other mental health challenges. Our approach is collaborative and individualized—we believe in meeting clients where they are, listening to what they need, and working alongside them rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. As a small practice, we prioritize creating a supportive and collaborative environment where therapists can do meaningful work while still having autonomy in their clinical practice. We are looking for someone who values connection with clients, enjoys working with teens and young adults, and wants to be part of a practice that is intentional about providing warm, thoughtful, and relationship-centered care. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status using standardized tools and clinical interviews Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals Deliver therapeutic interventions utilizing behavioral strategies, counseling techniques, and crisis management skills Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress in electronic health records (EHR) management systems Facilitate telehealth sessions via secure platforms to ensure accessible care for all clients Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including medical professionals and social workers Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including basic life support (BLS) and CPR certifications Requirements Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution Must hold an active Montana clinical license or be a clinical licensure candidate working toward full licensure (e.g., PCLC, LMSW, or equivalent) Experience working with preteens, teens, and/or young adults is preferred A client-centered, relational approach to therapy and a genuine interest in building strong therapeutic relationships Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to create a safe, trusting, and supportive environment for clients Commitment to providing individualized, compassionate, and trauma-informed care Comfortable working independently while also being open to collaboration and support within a small practice Familiarity with electronic health records and telehealth is preferred, but not required Join us to be part of a team committed to transforming lives through empathetic, innovative mental health services. We value your dedication and offer opportunities for professional growth within a supportive environment that prioritizes your well-being.
