with 3% employer match About the Role This is a full-time W-2 position designed around sustainability rather than a traditional 40-hour clinical schedule. Therapists provide client care Monday through Thursday, with Friday mornings reserved for paid documentation, treatment planning, and administrative responsibilities completed from home. The salary for this position is based on maintaining approximately 24 attended client sessions per week, with approximately 28 scheduled appointments weekly to account for normal cancellations and no-shows. We believe great therapists do their best work when they are trusted—not micromanaged. You'll have the clinical autonomy to provide individualized, ethical care while receiving the administrative support needed to thrive. Responsibilities Provide evidence-based outpatient individual therapy Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Develop and maintain a consistent client caseload Collaborate with colleagues as needed Uphold ethical and professional standards of practice Minimum Qualifications Active Nebraska LMHP or LIMHP license (or eligibility to obtain Nebraska licensure) Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another qualifying mental health field Ability to provide outpatient individual therapy Strong documentation and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Outpatient therapy experience Experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, or related concerns EMDRIA-approved EMDR training, or interest in pursuing EMDR training (training support available) Experience working independently while collaborating within a supportive team Why Mertens Counseling?
