Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including adults, families, and individuals facing various challenges. The Therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients with a range of mental health diagnoses, in accordance with clinical best practices. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, client needs, and goals. Conduct intake assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, and clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, peer support, and other clinical staff to ensure integrated care. Maintain clinical records in compliance with agency, state (NJ), and federal documentation standards (including HIPAA). Participate in weekly clinical supervision and team meetings. Coordinate care with outside providers, including schools, physicians, and social service agencies, as appropriate. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Engage in crisis intervention and risk assessments as required. Uphold ethical and professional standards in line with licensing board guidelines and the NASW, ACA, or relevant code of ethics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
Active New Jersey licensure:
LAC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent. Experience providing psychotherapy in an outpatient or similar setting (preferred: 1-2 years). Strong understanding of DSM-5 diagnoses, treatment modalities (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, etc.), and co-occurring disorders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation procedures. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Culturally competent and committed to working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual is a plus Experience with trauma, substance use, and/or family systems. Familiarity with managed care/insurance authorization procedures.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
