Mental Health Counselor - Equine Therapy Are you a licensed mental health professional with a passion for healing through connection with horses? Role:
As an Equine Therapy Counselor, you will work alongside our experienced equine specialists and therapy horses to support clients in developing emotional awareness, self-regulation, confidence, and healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. You will conduct individual and group sessions in a peaceful, natural setting where human-horse interaction is at the heart of recovery and growth.
Responsibilities:
Provide mental health counseling using equine-assisted therapy methods Develop personalized treatment plans and track progress Collaborate with our equine team to ensure safety and effectiveness of sessions Maintain documentation and uphold ethical, clinical, and safety standards Support clients of all ages, including youth, adults, families and veterans (if applicable)
Qualifications:
Master's Degree (or higher) in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field. License preferred is a LCSW/LISW or LPCC Current state licensure Experience or certification in Equine-Assisted Therapy preferred but not necessary Genuine comfort around horses and knowledge of equine behavior preferred by not necessary Compassionate, grounded, and client-centered approach to therapy Why Join Us?
