Job Description

As a Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist on our team, you will use your specialized clinical knowledge and advanced skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments, and treatment planning to support patients across the mental health spectrum. This role will have a unique focus on addressing the growing need for mental health services within Infant and Maternal Health, providing an important resource for patients and families during a critical time in their lives. As part of this newer role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and develop programming that addresses emerging behavioral health needs and fills an important gap in care. You will provide individual, group, and family therapy while helping patients improve their mental health and overall well-being. Your work will directly support the Clinic's mission of caring for life while helping expand access to meaningful, patient-centered behavioral health services. A caregiver in this position works 8:00am—5:00pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to patients. Provide individual, group, family and crisis counseling. Utilize a clinical focus across the mental health spectrum , f rom anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Participate in the development and implementation of assessments based on interdisciplinary treatment plans. Consult with team members, statutory / voluntary agencies and relatives to ensure compliance with the patient treatment plan. Act as a liaison between patients, families, community support workers and facilities to obtain information and facilitate discharge planning. Educate and provide resources to patients and families. Supervise and/or train lower-level social workers, students or interns. Process paperwork and complete clinical documentation. Participate in continuing professional education, departmental meetings and teaching. Other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Master's D egree in S ocial W ork , C ounseling or a related field Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with n o record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting Comprehensive knowledge of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories and practices sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and counsel patients
Physical Requirements:
A high degree of manual dexterity to produce materials on PC; normal or corrected vision; extensive sitting and frequent walking; occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay Range Minimum Annual Salary:
$57,510.00
Maximum Annual Salary:
$87,697.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
