Day Treatment:
High-Impact, Structured Clinical Work Our Day Treatment Program provides intensive behavioral health support for youth who benefit from a structured, therapeutic environment. You will work directly with clients throughout their day, helping them build emotional regulation, coping skills, and long‑term stability. This role offers opportunities to provide: Individual therapy Group therapy Family therapy Skill-building and emotional regulation support All within a supportive, collaborative team environment. Job Summary The Day Treatment Therapist provides trauma‑informed, culturally responsive care to children and adolescents enrolled in Riverview's Day Treatment Program. This role blends individual therapy, group facilitation, family engagement, and coordinated treatment planning within a multidisciplinary team. Working closely with psychiatrists, teachers and behavioral staff. What You'll Do Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide evidence‑based individual therapy Facilitate therapeutic groups focused on coping skills, emotional regulation, and social development Provide family therapy and parent support as clinically appropriate Support youth throughout the structured day treatment schedule Engage families in treatment planning and progress updates Coordinate care with schools, caseworkers, and community partners Maintain accurate and timely documentation Participate in weekly supervision and ongoing professional development Lead or participate in 90‑day treatment review meetings Uphold trauma‑informed, culturally responsive practices in all interactions What We're Looking For Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field QMHP certification through MHACBO (or ability to obtain) Experience or strong interest in working with high‑acuity youth and families Strong understanding of trauma‑informed and culturally responsive care Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively within a structured therapeutic environment Work Environment & Physical Requirements Services provided in program space, sensory rooms, outdoor areas, and occasional community settings Standing, walking, bending, and active engagement with youth Some travel may be required (mileage reimbursed) Reasonable job‑related accommodations available Ability to physically restrain children up to the age of 13 when necessary Why Clinicians Choose Riverview ✔ Small caseload ✔ No billing pressure ✔ Meaningful, relationship‑based clinical work ✔ Supportive supervision and collaborative team culture ✔ Recognized as a top nonprofit employer in Oregon ✔ Opportunities for individual, group, and family therapy ✔ Agency paid licensure supervision is available to those that qualify ✔ A workplace where your clinical judgment is trusted and valued While our salary may differ from some for‑profit agencies, we offer exceptional flexibility, a mission‑driven environment, and a strong culture of support that truly sets this role apart.
