Evening hours (In-office), Daytime (Telehealth), and Daytime (on-site geriatric program) About Humble Beginnings Counseling Humble Beginnings Counseling is a growing outpatient counseling practice committed to providing compassionate, clinically sound, and individualized mental health care. Our clinicians use evidence-based approaches while attending to the whole person, including patients' emotional, relational, behavioral, and spiritual needs. We specialized in Christian-integrated counseling, personality issues, addictions/compulsions, and underserved populations. Right now, we are developing our geriatric care program and applicants will have the opportunity to work within that program (as well as our outpatient office) if selected. We value a team-based approach to care coupled with a commitment to clinical excellence, authenticity, humility, and ongoing professional growth. Position Overview We are seeking a humble, eager to grow, and relationally competent clinician to provide outpatient psychotherapy during daytime or evening hours. This is a part-time W-2 position designed for a clinician who wants to develop a sustainable caseload while receiving administrative, billing, and practice support. Services may be provided in person at our Mechanicsburg office, through telehealth, onsite in a geriatric program, or through a combination of these. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound clinical judgment, works well on a team, communicates consistently, completes documentation promptly, and works well and is highly growth-minded. Primary Responsibilities Provide individual, couples, family, or group psychotherapy within the clinician's training and scope of practice. Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized, clinically appropriate treatment plans. Maintain a regular day or evening schedule and provide consistent availability for assigned clients. Complete progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and other required documentation accurately and on time. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically appropriate. Assess and respond appropriately to safety concerns, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, abuse, and other clinical risks. Coordinate care with physicians, schools, family members, and other providers when clinically appropriate and properly authorized. Follow ethical standards, mandated-reporting requirements, HIPAA regulations, payer requirements, and company policies. Participate in clinical consultation, staff meetings, training, and quality-improvement activities as required. Maintain professional boundaries and communicate promptly regarding scheduling, documentation, and client-care concerns. Provide faith-integrated counseling only when requested by the patient and within the clinician's competence and scope of practice. Qualifications Required Master's or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a closely related behavioral-health field. Independent Pennsylvania licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or licensed psychologist. Ability to work within a team focused on shared responsibility for consultation, clinical problem-solving, treatment direction, etc., while maintaining role as clinical lead for your caseload. Strong clinical documentation, organization, and time-management skills. At least one evening M-F available 6p-8p. Ability to provide services in person, through telehealth, or both. Successful completion of required background checks, credentialing, and employment documentation. Preferred Experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, or families. Experience with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, trauma-informed care, or couples therapy. Experience working with insurance-based outpatient services. Interest or experience in ethically integrating clients' Christian faith into treatment when requested. Availability to offer at least two consistent evenings per week. Interest in gradually developing and maintaining a part-time caseload. Schedule and Caseload This position is primarily intended to meet the needs of clients seeking appointments after traditional work or school hours. The clinician will establish a consistent weekly schedule in collaboration with the practice.
Anticipated schedule:
