A mental health therapist is a mental health professional who provide therapy, counseling, and intervention services to clients. A mental health therapist provides thorough clinical assessment and clinical counseling/psychotherapy, using up-to-date methods, to patients with primary or secondary mental health problems (who may also have substance abuse and chemical dependence problems, disabilities, psychosocial, or medical problems). Under general direction provides crisis intervention as needed. Work requires individual judgment within established polices, rules, and the patient's individual treatment plan. Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to): Physical requirements may require walking, lifting to 25 lbs. (greater with assistance), prolonged sitting, climbing steps, and the ability to get in and out of a vehicle without assistance Work may be performed in an office Using computer systems including an electronic medical records program Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform any non-essential job function. Clinical duties (may include, but not limited to) : Maintain a professional, collegial manner always Assesses, diagnoses, and provides psychotherapy, psychoeducation and support to individuals and families seeking mental health services. Treatment modalities shall be sensitive to culture, age, gender, and specific mental health problems Screen for mental health problems and make accurate diagnoses. Provide individual therapy, and provide child, couple, and family therapy, if qualified or if supervised. Make appropriate recommendations and assist patients to arrange for services to follow through on recommendations Provides care coordination as needed to clients to ensure the coordination of care and to facilitate access to needed services Help recommend or arrange psychiatric appointments for patients, as indicated Documents and maintains client contacts, care coordination, crisis/consult contacts, and community contacts according to ethical standards and organizational protocols Maintains progress notes, treatment plans, and other records in accordance with With patient's participation, complete treatment/recovery plan and quarterly reviews. Attends staff meetings and coordination meetings, in
•service trainings and outside service training as provided Consults and peer with other clinical staff and/or employees when needed Follow the requirements of company and program policies Maintains confidentiality requirements for patient privacy i.e. Privacy Practices and HIPAA Set and follow through on learning goals for professional growth of skills, continuing education requirements for licensure Performs such other assignments and duties as may be required and needed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Master's Degree required in Social Work or related field; PLUS become Certified as
CPR, HIPAA
training, and Blood Borne Pathogens within 60 days of hire. Must possess Licensed Clinical Social Worker
•LCSW or Licensed Professional Counselor
•LPC Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated work experience in the mental health field Two (2) years post Licensure experience in mental health programs Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License or Pennsylvania State ID Background Checks (FBI Fingerprints, Child Abuse, and Criminal History) upon hire

$38.00
