Job Description

Description The Independent Contractor (1099) Therapist provides high-quality outpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and/or families in accordance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and applicable state regulations. The therapist is responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual, group, and family therapy, maintaining timely clinical documentation, and collaborating with referral sources and other treatment providers as appropriate. As an independent contractor, the therapist maintains control over their work schedule and service delivery methods while adhering to organizational policies related to quality, compliance, documentation, and consumer care. The therapist is expected to maintain an active professional license, professional liability insurance, and all required credentials necessary to provide behavioral health services. Key Responsibilities Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy services. Complete documentation, treatment plans, reviews, and discharge summaries within established timelines. Maintain compliance with state regulations, payer requirements, and ethical standards. Collaborate with physicians, care teams, schools, community agencies, and referral sources as needed. Participate in case consultations and quality improvement activities when requested. Maintain confidentiality and protect consumer health information in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field. Active Pennsylvania licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist) Experience providing outpatient mental health services preferred. Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of clinical care.
